After careful consideration, Public Health Solutions has made the very difficult decision to begin the process of closing our Sexual and Reproductive Health Centers. For more information about the reasons why, please see our press release. If you are a patient, please go to our Sexual and Reproductive Health Centers page to learn more about the closure and how we are helping our patients transition to new care options at this time.
On 1/22/25, PHS hosted a town hall to address the closure of our two Brooklyn Sexual & Reproductive Health Centers. Click here to learn about the decision, the centers’ impact, and how we’re supporting patients.
PHS’ Sexual and Reproductive Health Capacity Building (SRH-CB) Program supports primary care practices and other health care settings to provide patient-centered contraceptive care and ensure access to high-quality services. PHS provides quality improvement coaching, training and technical assistance on contraceptive care best practices, patient-centered care strategies and the Sexual and Reproductive Justice (SRJ) framework, as well as technical solutions to improve billing and revenue cycle management.
Prior Work
In the summer of 2019, we made the difficult decision to turn away Title X Family Planning funding due to the federal government’s gag rule that would prevent our network from providing comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care services. PHS was a direct grantee of the program, the only federal funding source dedicated solely to family planning, for nearly 40 years. PHS’ Title X program supported a network of 13 service sites that served New Yorkers each year, providing high-quality and comprehensive services for low-income or uninsured community members.
